The Key to Success

"Many have searched for the key to success that opens the magical door to your dreams. Few have ever realized that it's already in their possession. When searching for the key to unlock the mysteries of living an abundant life, look first in the mirror".
- J. Kyle Howard

Dorothy Goes Home

Dorothy experienced a lifetime of adventures trying to find the Wizard in the land of Oz who had her magic "key to success" that would send her home. She battled a wicked witch, flying monkeys, walked miles totally afraid of what was around the corner. She gets to the Wizard's castle only to be met with fear and horror from this terrifying menace. She later discovers that he was just a man with an overly large ego (it wasn't his perception but the perception of others he was reinforcing).

Dorothy persevered over her travails in search of someone else with the power to send her home. Much to her surprise, the Wizard informed her that the "key to success" for her returning home existed within her the whole time. All she needed to do was click her heels and utter the words, "There is no place like home". Well you know the rest of the story...

Who Do You Ask?

Have you ever asked someone you considered a failure what their secret was to unsuccess? Thousands of books are written about how to achieve success but not one book was ever written about how to become a failure. Somehow though failure seems easily mastered. I, for one, can attest to that. If trophies were given for the many different ways to fail, you better believe that I would have a wall full.

Successful people are always asked, "What's the secret key to success?" People are interested in finding out how to open the secret door that will lead to that elusive success. Guess what? There is no secret. Actually, achieving success is only a secret to those who think it's a secret or simply don't think that it's possible to achieve. What do you think?

The Walls of Jericho

The key to success is available for everyone, but it seems to be hiding just beyond your grasp or behind an invisible wall or door. This brings to mind an interesting story from the "Rule" book.

There was an ancient city named Jericho that was surrounded by a great wall. Behind this wall were great treasure's and no one from the outside was allowed to enter into this "promised" land. If you know the story, this wall was brought down by the sound of a trumpet and a great shout (notice the use of words again).

Let's talk now about your wall of Jericho: the wall separating you from success. We've all built our own walls at some time in our lives. Have you built a wall that keeps you away from your designed success, your hearts desire? What kind of wall have you built? Is it one of resentment - resenting someone or some situation that shuts you off from what's truly yours? How do you feel when someone gets what you want? Do you resent them or do you feel happy for them? Envy and jealousy are a pair of ugly twins.

Where Do I Find This Key to Success?

If you are not experiencing the life you truly desire than it is necessary to take your "key to success" and unlock the door to the treasures that sits behind the wall you've built. You could easily spend years on the couch of a psychiatrist and find someone to blame which won't change your situation or you can spend one day going through the (The Tao of You). This method has created some astounding results all over the world. You can read what others have to say about it.

To bring about a change in your life requires the use of some simple tools. It takes a change in your words and thoughts (I am not talking about the positive thinking stuff). It takes gratitude or being thankful for what you have. After all, you were the one who created it. And, since it is your creation, why not enjoy it.

In the Book of Joshua 1:7

"Only be strong and very courageous to observe to do according to all the law which Moses, my servant, commanded thee: turn not from it to the right nor to the left, that thou mayest have good success whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart from thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do all that is written therein, for then shalt thou make thy way prosperous and thou shalt have good success. Turn not to the right nor to the left."

Now those are some very powerful but confusing words above so let me explain. It simply means that the road to success is straight and narrow. To achieve success requires your utmost and undivided attention, laser-like focus. You attract to you the things you consistently think about.

So if you give a great deal of thought to lack of any kind, you attract just that, lack. It's the whole reaping and sowing thing. And it works the same if you think of abundance in anything you desire; you will receive just that, abundance. Pretty simple stuff, huh?

Combine the principle of attention and imagination with the power of your words and they will dissolve all obstacles and remove any barriers that may be preventing your success.

Now how do you effectively use those tools? Let's dig a little deeper into this and find that magic key to success

As always, bring an open mind.
