Char.ac.ter n. The qualities built into an individual’s life that determine his or her response, regardless of circumstances.


Character determines success. Develop these character qualities.

  1. ALERTNESS
    Being aware of what is taking place around you so that you can have the right response. Study the wealth creators of this world and you will see that they grabbed opportunity when it presented itself while others simply stood by and complained. Some may call it luck, but it is simply right action at the right time.

  2. ATTENTIVENESS
    Showing the worth of a person or task by giving your undivided concentration. You are where your attention is. Develop the ability to focus and the world is your oyster. So many things are vying for your attention that it's amazing you get anything done. There is a price you pay for wealth and success and that price is "Attention".

  3. AVAILABILITY
    There exist a fine line between being self-centered and selfish. We've been taught that selfishness is a bad thing. I am stating right now that it is not. Being selfish means to take care of oneself. Take the time for yourself, yet be conscious of others. You are of no good to anyone else until you are good to yourself.

  4. BENEVOLENCE
    Giving to others’ basic needs without having as your motive personal reward. True giving requires nothing received in return.

  5. BOLDNESS
    Confidence that what you have to say or do is true, right, and just. We are all special. The world needs to hear your unique voice.

  6. CAUTIOUSNESS
    Knowing how important timing is in accomplishing right action. As the saying goes, "Timing is everything".

  7. COMPASSION
    Investing whatever is necessary to heal the hurts of others. We don't live in a vacuum. A smile or a kind word could mean life or death for someone.

  8. CONTENTMENT Realizing that true happiness does not depend on material conditions. Never be the sum total of what you have. You were created to be much more.

  9. CREATIVITY
    Approaching a need, a task, or an idea from a new perspective. It's time to let your imagination run wild. Be the mad scientist and create your world as you would have it. However, keep #7 in your heart and mind.

  10. DECISIVENESS
    The ability to recognize key factors and finalize decisions. Many a great fortune has been lost because of the inability to make a decision. Success in life is about making choices.

  11. DEFERENCE Courteous respect for others. You have the inalienable right and freedom to be as do others. Do not offend the tastes of those around you.

  12. DEPENDABILITY
    Fulfilling what you consented to do, even if it means an unexpected sacrifice. Always strive to keep your word. Never make a promise you don't intend to keep.

  13. DETERMINATION
    Purposing to accomplish right goals at the right time, regardless of the opposition. Winners are those who are determined to do so.

  14. DILIGENCE
    constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind. Success awaits those who are diligent in its undertaking.

  15. DISCERNMENT
    Understanding the deeper reasons why things happen. Go below the surface and seek truth.

  16. DISCRETION
    Recognizing and avoiding words, actions, and attitudes that could bring undesirable consequences.

  17. ENDURANCE
    The inward strength to withstand stress and do your best. Life is a marathon not a sprint.

  18. ENTHUSIASM
    Expressing joy in each task as you give it your best effort. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

  19. FAITH
    Confidence that your actions when rooted in good character will yield the best outcome, even when you cannot see how.

  20. FLEXIBILITY
    Willingness to change plans or ideas according to the circumstances and information given. A plan or decision based on today's information may not seem so prudent tomorrow.

  21. FORGIVENESS
    Not only clearing the record of those who have wronged you and not holding a grudge but also forgiving yourself for any past mistakes.

  22. GENEROSITY
    Carefully managing your resources so you can freely give to those in need. Unleash the flow of abundance. You will always receive (in abundance) that which you give.

  23. GENTLENESS
    Showing consideration and personal concern for others. Be forever firm but gentle in your resolve.

  24. GRATEFULNESS
    Being grateful for the very life you have and letting others know by your words and actions how they have benefited your life.

  25. HONOR
    We were made in the image of God. Honor and respect that aspect of yourself and everyone you meet. A gentle nod, a warm smile, a soft hello is all it takes.

  26. HOSPITALITY
    Cheerfully share food, shelter, or conversation. An opened heart will never lack companionship.

  27. HUMILITY
    You will never accomplish a task with the help of someone else. Be quick to acknowledge that achievement results from the investment of others in your life.

  28. INITIATIVE
    Recognizing and doing what needs to be done before being asked to do it. Starting something is always the hardest part. Get going and let momentum carry you to victory.

  29. JOYFULNESS
    Maintaining a good attitude, even when faced with unpleasant conditions. When things are not going your way --- simply focus on smiling and let it sooth you.

  30. JUSTICE
    Taking personal responsibility to uphold what is pure, right, and true.

  31. LOYALTY
    Using difficult times to demonstrate your commitment to those you've given your word to.

  32. MEEKNESS
    Meekness is not weakness. It takes real strength and courage to maintain calm and peace when all around you is chaos.

  33. ORDERLINESS
    Arranging yourself and your surroundings to achieve greater efficiency. A cluttered environment = a cluttered mind = confusion, lack, poverty.

  34. PATIENCE
    Taking the necessary time to tear down the walls that block your progress towards success.

  35. PUNCTUALITY
    Showing esteem for yourself and others by doing the right thing at the right time.

  36. RESOURCEFULNESS
    Able to act effectively or imaginatively, especially in difficult situations.

  37. SECURITY
    Structuring your life around that which cannot be destroyed or taken away. Being able to provide yourself and your loved ones with freedom from care, anxiety, or doubt.

  38. SELF-CONTROL
    Rejecting wrong desires that are in conflict with what you wish to achieve.

  39. SENSITIVITY
    Perceiving the true attitudes and emotions of those around you. Always be keenly aware of your surroundings. People and situations speak without uttering a word.

  40. SINCERITY
    Eagerness to do what is right with transparent motives. When you are true to yourself, you can't help but be true to others.

  41. THOROUGHNESS
    Knowing what factors will diminish the effectiveness of your work or words if neglected. If you don't take time to do it right and completely, you won't have time to do it again.

  42. THRIFTINESS
    Be wisely economical. Count your pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves.

  43. TOLERANCE
    Realizing that everyone is at varying levels of character development. "Judge not lest ye be judged".

  44. TRUTHFULNESS
    To gain trust you must be truthful. An honest man never lacks of opportunity. It requires you to have an open-mind and be willing to sometimes challenge your beliefs. This is a two-hour movie. View at your own risk.

  45. VIRTUE
    The moral excellence evident in your life as you consistently do what is for your highest good and the good of others.

  46. WISDOM
    Seeing and responding to life situations from a perspective that transcends your current circumstances. Having the ability to accurately apply knowledge, experience, and understanding.
